I grew up in the woods of Texas with my Deaf parents. Now I’m a writer, producer and publicist in New York City working hard for my money so I don’t have to go back. I’m also a public speaker and storyteller with credits that include The Moth’s Mainstage and podcast, Risk! and Mortified; tons of colleges like Rutgers, the University of Texas and the University of Oregon; and dozens of book festivals across the U.S. of A. like Wordstock, The Texas Book Festival and Ohioana.
My memoir BURN DOWN THE GROUND (Random House) is about growing up with a deaf family & my relationship with my dad who is in prison for attempted murder. It is available on Amazon.com & BN.com and other fun internet sites & old fashioned book stores.
